On Wednesday morning 20th. Nov . during a mini whirlwind a willow tree close to Jane Fry’s bungalow blew down blocking Buckland Road. A quick call from Jane Fry to the Charney Army who were luckily felling trees on Charney field had John Daglish, Stephen Cowlam and Mike Newman rushing to the scene. John armed with his chainsaw soon set about cutting up the said tree with the others clearing away the debris. Within half an hour the road was clear and traffic could again start using the road. Many thanks again to the Charney Army for responding quickly to the local emergency.
