In an amazing end to the season the Chequers Aunt Sally team finished top of Division C
to become one of the top 20 teams of the 80+ playing the game in the South Oxon/Vale area.
Having been near the top for most of the season all seemed lost when a thrashing in their penultimate game left them 5 points behind leaders Spread Eagle, Abingdon with one match to play ….against the league leaders away.
But all was not lost and an excellent team performance gave them a clean sweep to take all 6 points to finish Champions by one point.
