As you may be aware, the arboricultural consultancy briefed by CHAFT and the Parish Council have identified six trees which present a potential danger to those using the bridle path and the Charney Field. The trees are either leaning dangerously over public areas or property, or dead and unstable. We were advised that the work should be completed before the end of February.
The contractor with whom we are working is intending to carry out the prescribed work on Friday 7th February. The bridle path will have to be closed, and other areas will be cordoned off to ensure the safety of the public. Appropriate signs will be in place for the duration of the works.
We apologise for any inconvenience, but safety must be our priority.
