Neighbourhood Action Group

FARINGDON EAST NEIGHBOURHOOD ACTION GROUP

(covering the area of Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor,  East and West Hanney,  Stanford in the Vale and surrounding villages)

Here is the Faringdon Neighbourhood Newsletter for January 2020

Check here for Faringdon’s Local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The purpose of the group is to support Neighbourhood Policing and keep our villages safe and low crime areas by:

– providing effective two way liaison between local communities and the police,

–  identifying and resolving local community safety issues in partnership with residents,  Neighbourhood Watch, local councils and other partner agencies,

– supporting local crime prevention initiatives with special emphasis on ensuring advice and support is available to the most vulnerable

– actively promoting group activities to local communities

Membership is drawn from a cross section of the community including the police, Parish Councils, residents, Neighbourhood Watch and the business community. Meetings are held every three months in a local village hall and usually last for about one hour.
Past and present priorities include road safety outside schools, speeding, anti-social behaviour, hare coursing, rural crime, participation in the community payback initiative and the promotion of crime prevention advice.
Charney Bassett is represented by resident David Sibbert.
